North Queensland Fury goalkeeper Sebastian Usai will remain with the club for the rest of its A-League campaign as the injury replacement for Matthew Ham.
Ham sustained a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee and originally underwent a six-week rehabilitation program.
He sustained a further setback during that period however, which required a full knee reconstruction.
The 20-year-old Usai was originally signed on a short-term contract, but with Ham now out for the season, Fury has extended this agreement to cover the remaining fixtures in this season’s campaign.
The Brisbane-born ‘keeper is the club’s second choice behind Justin Pasfield.
