The Gap FC is pleased to formally announce the appointment our new Senior Men’s coaching staff for season 2011. First Team coach Mauro Saftich is returning to The Gap after taking some time away from football. Mauro brings with him a recipe for success after fruitful stints at The Gap, Brisbane City and various other clubs in the old state league, which culminated into many championships. He will be assisted by player/coach Roger Hunter who joins the club after previous stints at Brisbane Force, Taringa Rovers and in England. Reserves coach Brandon Hall is another who will join the senior ranks after coaching two youth teams in 2010.
The Gap FC hopes these appointments are the start of something special as we look to build on a disappointing 2010 season. The club wishes to invite any past, present or new players to an information night on the 26th of November at 7pm, with preseason training scheduled to start on the 30th of November at 6:30pm sharp. Suggested items for preseason include a water bottle, runners, boots and a towel.
